K.I.S.S. THEORY

Remember the old KISS theory - Keep It Simple Stupid, it applies to this weight thing we are all on about.

Eat less sugary, fatty foods, eat more fresh fruit and vegies, drink more water and walk for 40 minutes 4 times a week.

How simple is that??

As of next week, these tips will be contributed by a different member of the group with each member taking a turn, you can choose any relevant topic you like; recipes etc.

WEEK ONE TIPS - H2O

Hopefully you have already started to think about your new good[better] habits.One of them should be; drink at least 6-8 large glasses of water each and every day!Never leave home without your water bottle. It will also help curb your appetite, especially if you drink a large glass of water before eating.Other ways to drink more water [and less of the other stuff] is to alternate each alcholic drink with a glass of water or only half fill your wine glass and top up with mineral water. You will be drinking half the amount of alcohol and saving half the money as well!!Lo cal soft drinks and tea and coffee are ok but they all contain caffeine which has other side effects - WATER IS BESTIf nothing else you will feel better for drinking more water, you will be properly hydrated especially during hot weather, your system will be flushed out, your skin will not be as dry and your joints will be better lubricated which should make you feel more like walking!!See it is making a difference already!!

The SOS/Biggest Loser Challenge kicks off this week and runs until Dec 31st 2006.
For a once only fee of $50 for adults and $25 for juniors [14 and under] you have the chance to change your bad habits, trim, tone and be more healthy AND take home ALL the cash if you are the biggest loser! {percentage of weight lost not actual kilos] And all with the help and motivation from the other team members.!

This is about changing our lifestyles and bad habits more than crash diets, so the emphasis will be on healthy eating and exercise, hence the 12 month time frame.

You will be expected to take an active role in the blogspot and contribute your tips, recipes, ideas or just brag about your success, all in the name of helping everyone else.
Regular weigh ins will be held just to make sure no one has fallen off the wagon..

If you wish to join in then you will need to click on the comments box at the end of this post and log on as anonymous [unless you are already a member of the SOS Biggest Loser Blogspot – your name will be listed under the site counter.]
Enter your name, your present weight and the name of the person verifying your start weight. If you have been referred by a friend, you will need to enter your email address also.
